The
Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Southeast assists enterprising
young companies to develop a culture of community involvement.
Our programs address the money and time resource constraints
early-stage companies face. EFSE facilitates community involvement
with volunteerism and outreach. We make it easy for a company
to begin by matching corporate culture and philanthropic interests
while providing links to the many opportunities in their community.
EFSE provides the community relations function for the company
at no charge to help establish its giving strategy and its volunteer
programs.
The stock
option has proven to be a highly effective motivational tool
for employees of entrepreneurial companies, inspiring these
employees to work hard to achieve company goals. EFSE has created
an innovative program that benefits local companies and community
groups by using this same stock model. As participants in EFSE,
each company makes an equity donation to a company-directed
fund at the foundation. When a company is acquired or has an
initial public offering on the stock market, funds from the
exercise and sale of the stock options become available for
charitable giving advised by the company.
