H. B. "RHEN" CAIN PRESIDENT and CEO ENTREPRENEURS FOUNDATION of the SOUTHEAST
Rhen has been with the Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Southeast since September 2001. Prior to that time, he was President and CEO of Directo, Inc., a financial services management and marketing company. Rhen was also Managing Partner of Advanced Sales Institute (ASI), a corporate education company that developed and implemented a broad curriculum of sales training and sales management programs.
Prior to joining ASI, Rhen was Senior Director of Sponsorship Development for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG). He was responsible for developing corporate sponsorships and partnerships that made significant investments in the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games and helped ACOG exceed its financial goal of approximately $2 billion.
Before joining ACOG, Rhen was an Executive Vice President and Manager of the Treasury Management Services Division for NationsBank. Treasury Management Services was a $440 million line of business with a staff of 250 employees. Beginning his career there in 1969, he held various senior management positions within the Corporate Bank. He was a Marketing Representative with IBM Corporation during 1967 and 1968.
Rhen was a charter member of the Bank Administration Institute's Corporate Service Commission. He was a member of the Federal Reserve Industry Advisory Group on Future EFT Payment Services, which advised the Federal Reserve System on the study and development of electronic payment services for the 1990's. He also served as a Contributing Editor to the Journal of Treasury Management.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Rhen holds B.S.E.E. and B.S.M.E. degrees from Vanderbilt University. He has been a Director of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the President's Committee. He is a member of the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Council for International Visitors, and the Board of Trustees of his church. Recently, he was Co-chairman for the Families First Capital Funds Campaign and volunteer for the Major Gifts Campaign of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
